Programming Call for Content 2022

Happy to somewhat belatedly announce that we’re open for programming suggestions until March 25th 2022!
As per last year, please submit your content suggestions via this Google Form. Most fields are not mandatory, so if you only have a vid show idea but not a panel or vice versa, that’s fine. Multiple ideas, if you have them, are encouraged! (We do ask that if you have multiple ideas, please submit them individually, just to make our lives a bit easier.)
We’re looking for your ideas for vid shows and panels you’d like to run, and if you have an idea for something new that’s not quite either of those things, we’d love to hear that too.
As ever, we welcome programming ideas from first-time VJs and panelists as well as from veterans - if you’d like to give it a try but you’re not sure where to start, please get in touch! We’re happy to chat it through with you.
You’re also very welcome to VJ as a pair or a group.
In the event that we have too many programme items to choose from we will emphasize items that form a coherent and complementary programme, as well as trying to give new VJs and panellists a chance to shine. (We’d like to note at this stage that we crammed the programme as full as we could last year knowing the con would be online, but we’re likely to try and fit slightly less in this year.)
Premieres
As usual, we are seeking brand new, never-before-seen vids for our Saturday night Premieres show.
All vidders are invited and encouraged to submit a premiere, whether or not they are attending the con. Vids can be any fandom, theme, or style, and there is no minimum level of experience required.
The only requirement is that the vid be completely new, showing for the first time at the con. This means that once you submit it to us, you cannot release it online or show it at any other convention until after the Premieres show on Saturday night of the con. After that you can release the vid as usual. We also ask for one vid for Premieres per vidder. We will be looking for ways to give more prolific vidders a chance to submit more vids to the con, watch this space!
The deadline for Premieres submissions is May 10th. We’ll confirm how to submit closer to the time but it will likely be similar to last year.
Vidders Choice
Vidders with a con membership can also submit one of their back-catalogue vids for the Vidder’s Choice show, as in previous years. The deadline for Vidder’s Choice is May 1st, so start having a think about which of your vids you’d like to show off this year!
