Hello vidders and VJs,
We had a brief moment of vid submissions not working (see strike-out text below), but now it's working again! Big cheer to Lithy who fixed it in barely no time at all!
We have a couple of new and exciting functionalities in vid submissions now:
Upload:
You can now upload your vidfile directly in the submission form! It looks like this:

You can use the "Megadrop link" to drop your vidfile into an upload folder and upload it to our file storage. You may also submit SRT files (i.e. subtitles) this way.
Alternatively, you can use the "Normal download link" (labeled "Upload link" in Conline) to give us a link to your vidfile. This could be to your mega, or to mediafire, or to any other hosting service where you store your vidfiles.
Subtitles:
You now have the option to upload a subtitle file directly into Conline! It looks like this:

Pick the subtitle file on your drive using the "Browse" button and submit it together with your vid. Please take note: your subtitles have to be either SRT or VTT files, and the subtitle file should be no larger than 5 KB.
Priority:
This is an optional field which we may use in future years. This year, you can submit a maximum of one vid per show, so your priority will always be 1. It may allow us to be a little bit more lenient on multiple vid submissions in the future, though!
If you have any questions or issues, don't hesitate to contact us. If you've already submitted your vid, don't worry -- your submission is valid and we have everything we need.
Hello vidders and VJs! If you're trying to submit a vid to a VidUKon 2023 vidshow through your dashboard: please don't be alarmed if it doesn't work.
We (by this I mean Lithy, cheered on by the VidUKon Concom) are trying to get some additional functionalities working on Conline that will make vid submission easier and will potentially allow us to avoid having to use streaming services in the future. Unfortunately, this means that a new feature added to the vid submission flow is currently preventing new submissions.
What this means for you:
We will fix this asap. If you can, please try again in a few days, or after we've given the go-ahead that things are working again. If this isn't possible for you, please email all your vid information to vidukon@gmail.com. We will consider this your vid submission and add it to Conline ourselves.
Apologies for the inconvenience! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
