Welcome to the discussion post for the But what about teh menz? vidshow, curated by kabal42.
A show about masculinities. All the men we love and hate, love to hate and hate to love - and how we think of and show their menniness.

Date: 2020-05-11 12:41 pm (UTC)It was a stroke of genius to open with a vid literally calling its subject a "killer beast" and a "predator". The vid is great on its own but using it to open a vidshow about the idea of masculinity casts it in a different light and gets right into the themes the show explores.
And good grief, the absolute sucker punch of going from The Price into Care to Stay! I feel like at that point the show pivots around completely and it's so effective.
I love how Wild One in the second half works in contrast to Animal at the beginning, and I love the whole build from there into the hopeful and uplifting end of the show.
