Dear Vidders & Vid Fans!

As you may know, VidUKon will be running for the fifth time in Cardiff Bay, 12 - 14 June 2015. Registration is open! While we very much hope to see you there in person, Supporting memberships are also available and we will be running VirtUKon again for our virtual attendees. An Attending membership is £40, (although this will rise to £52 on 10 April 2015) and a Supporting membership is £16.

We are also pleased to announce the following, exciting news!

Scholarship

For the first time, VidUKon will be offering a scholarship! Even though the con is held in the UK, we like to think of it as a European event. The scholarship has been funded by donation is intended to offer support to one fan, who is not a UK resident and who has not been to the con before, to attend. This includes an Attending membership, Saturday Night Dinner Ticket and accommodation on the basis of sharing a room. Preference will be given to European residents. Please check out the website to see whether you are eligible and to nominate yourself or others. We are also accepting further donations to the fund if you would like to contribute, and this will go towards travel costs for the recipient.

Auctions

We are also organising a vidding auction! If you would be willing to participate as a vidder please visit the website and sign up. Auction vids will be shown at the convention, but not as part of Premieres, so the deadline will be June 1 2015. This is a full month after the Premieres deadline. Our goals for the auction are modest - digitizing the library, personalising badges and maybe some extra tasty treats. If we're lucky enough to exceed our targets, 75% of the additional funds will be donated to RAINN. Sign ups close on 6 March 2015 so please consider signing up!

Shop

We now have a Cafepress Shop! We are hoping to offer more varied designs soon, but you can already buy the VidUKon drinkware, t-shirts and messenger bags we know you crave deep in your soul! All proceeds will go towards the running of the convention.
